Legal Waiver

By registering for and attending an event organised by Positive Nature Network (“we”, “us”, “our”), you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Participation at your own risk

Our events often take place outdoors and may involve physical activity such as walking, volunteering, or working in natural environments.

By attending, you understand that:

  • There are inherent risks, including slips, trips, falls, uneven terrain, weather conditions, and use of tools or equipment
  • You participate voluntarily and at your own risk
  • You are responsible for your own safety and wellbeing throughout the event

2. Health and fitness

By attending, you confirm that:

  • You are physically able to take part in the activities involved
  • You do not have any condition that would make participation unsafe for you or others
  • You will inform the organiser of any relevant health concerns where appropriate

3. Following guidance

You agree to:

  • Follow any reasonable instructions, safety briefings, or guidance given by organisers or facilitators
  • Use any tools or equipment responsibly and only as instructed
  • Respect the environment, venue, and other participants

Failure to follow guidance may result in you being asked to leave the event.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Positive Nature Network accepts no responsibility for any personal injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in an event
  • This includes (but is not limited to) injury, loss of property, or incidental damages

Nothing in this waiver limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

5. Personal responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Wearing appropriate clothing and footwear
  • Bringing any personal items required (e.g. water, medication)
  • Making your own judgement about conditions on the day

6. Third-party venues and partners

Some events may take place in partnership with third-party venues or organisations.

In these cases:

  • Additional rules or safety requirements may apply
  • You agree to comply with any site-specific guidance provided

7. Photography and media (optional, include if relevant)

We may occasionally take photos or videos during events.

By attending, you agree that:

  • Images may be used for promotional purposes
  • If you would prefer not to be included, you can let us know on the day

8. Agreement

By registering for an event, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this waiver
  • You accept the risks involved in participation
  • You agree to the terms outlined above
